New Years From New York!
Our Annual New Years Eve Show
New Year's from New York is an Upstage tradition where we perform scenes and songs from the hottest and newest Broadway shows. Actors collaborate in the production process and have a chance to perform their favorite numbers.
This year, we will be performing scenes from Dear Evan Hansen, Kinky Boots, Sponge Bob the Musical, Chicago and more!

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, November 15-December 13 from 5-8:30

The Company
High school/College
The Company is the Upstage Arts internship program designed for ages 16 through college. Interns are selected though an interview and audition process. The internship is designed for successful students to mentor upcoming actors.
Coordinator: Shelley Brownfield
Company members will produce two shows during the year. In addition to participation in their own shows, interns are encouraged to participate in all other aspects of the theater from direction, acting, house management to technical design. Students must meet a minimum requirement of volunteer hours. Students will also be expected to help fundraise for the theater.
Company members will be limited to 12 actors. (Six representing musical theatre and six representing acting.)
There is no tuition payment required for the Company.

It is expected that all cast members help with set construction, painting and costume creation.
Junior Theater Festival
Elementary/Intermediate/High School
Upstage Arts will be taking a competition team to California to compete. The competition is hosted by MTI JR shows. Each team prepares a 15 minute piece from an MTI show. Tentatively the show pick is Dear Edwina JR. Casting will be independent from our Elementary/Intermediate show. We encourage ages 11-18 to join the team.
There will be an informational meeting on August 5th.
Rehearsals: Sundays 1-5 starting January 7
Tuition: Tuition $200
(waived if participating in a Fall show or Pre-Pro full show package)
Costs will also include hotel, plane fare and entrance fees. Estimated at $1500

The Improv Troupe

The Improv Troupe is open to High School Students by audition. NO Script will meet weekly to prepare for performances. Intermediate and High school students wishing to learn from the troupe may attend rehearsals.

Students will participate in creating an age appropriate musical. They will learn the introductory basics of music, dance and theatre.

Shake, Rattle, & Roll
Toddlers
Adults and their children will participate in lessons that encourage brain and motor development. Students will learn introductory music and dance concepts.

The class is held on carpet and it is required that all participant remove their shoes.
Mommy and Daddy and Me
Newborns (Walking)
Adults and their children will participate in lessons that encourage brain and motor development including foreign language development.
